Micronet’s e-health application is a Platform to conceptualise, design, architect, develop and implement end to end Health Information management system for any organization.

The Patient Care Management (PCM) addresses the IT enablement needs of the healthcare delivery facilities and assists the healthcare staff in discharge of services in an efficient manner. The PCM encompasses the functionality for services such as patient registration, consultation, prescription, billing & payment, scheduling the patient for tests, capturing prescription and clinical notes, laboratory and radiology investigation results, IPD treatment etc

The EMR consists of electronic versions of the data and documents found in a paper-based health record, such as patient data, UHID, diagnostic test results, discharge summary with ICD codes and other types of documentation. Electronic medical records are created when a patient first visits a healthcare facility and is updated on subsequent visits to the healthcare facility. Electronic medical records are stored in local repositories in the individual healthcare facilities.

Health Information Exchange (HIE) is the foundation of the e-Health programme and is envisaged to play key role in exchanging the clinical information across care providers and ensuring availability of patient medical record for providing timely and safer care. The patient medical records are created through the patient care management system services (e.g. electronic transfer of prescription, Manage Test Results, enter clinical notes etc) and availability of such critical information at point of care (irrespective of the facility visited by the patient) is critical for providing timely and safer care.

The Disease Control Program Management System effectively monitor and manage these programmes and helps the programme implementation units through reduction of administrative burden in performing activities such as budgeting, physical & financial progress monitoring & reporting etc.

The Drug Distribution Management system has two core components i.e. (i) Procurement and (ii) Distribution Management. The Procurement functionality facilitates updating the Essential Drug List, managing Rate Contracts, placing purchase order with the supplier based on the indent received from the online Invoice submission by suppliers, generation of Bill for payment to suppliers and payment to suppliers etc.

The license management module facilitates registration of the private healthcare establishments and ancillary units such as pharmacies, blood banks etc, renewal of the license, monitoring the compliance of these institutions towards the regulatory requirements.

The Human Capital has the larger significance in the healthcare industry considering the criticality of the services being delivered by the department. The healthcare workforce in public healthcare delivery system is limited and it requires careful planning for deployment of the healthcare workforce at the right places based on the healthcare demands of concerned locations.

The Asset Management module shall facilitate the department in identification & tracking of assets, maintenance of assets, insurance of assets, retiring assets etc. The value of such assets is also very high and in the absence of appropriate insurance and asset maintenance measures, may cause significant financial loss to the department.

The budget & expenditure management refers to the system required for performing the annual budgeting for various directorates and other units in the department. The functional requirements for the budget & expenditure system required for the department are similar to the functional requirements of budget and expenditure management of healthcare programmes.

The Disease Surveillance system, including Geographical Information System (GIS), shall enable capturing, tracking of information on the incidence, prevalence, and spread of diseases and enable the department for effective planning for controlling the disease prevalence. The system shall support disease mapping, which shall enable understanding the geographical distribution and spread of disease in the past or present.

The stakeholders, healthcare administrators, healthcare delivery staff etc have unique MIS requirements, which enable them to effectively plan and deliver the responsibilities allocated to the concerned individuals. The Decision Support Systems/Management Dashboards are envisaged to provide user-specific information needed for day-to-day operations. For instance, Management Dashboard provides overall Healthcare Performance Indicators, Disease Surveillance summary, alerts on critical diseases, overall spend and future budget requirements etc.

The E-Learning module for the department is envisaged to provide the platform for hosting the digital content for the skill development and capacity building requirements for various stakeholders. The platform shall enable registration/allocation of employees for accessing the training material, hosting the training contents/courses/course material etc online.

Grievance & Redressal module facilitates logging the grievances/complaints of various stakeholders, assigning the grievance to the concerned authority and monitoring the grievance redressal performed by them.
